How long is a NACUSA membership good for?
Memberships run for the year you are joining or renewing. All memberships paid for now are good until Dec 31, 2024. NACUSA will open a renewal period (usually a couple of months before the end of the year), where memberships paid are good for the rest of 2024 and 2025 (i.e. if you paid to join in November of 2024 - the membership is for the rest of 2024 and all of 2025).
Where are my login credentials?
At this time NACUSA is requiring filling out a form for all, there no longer is a login to access your membership. Once you complete the application or renewal process, your membership is populated to a list available to all national leaders and chapter coordinators.
Can you break down the costs for membership?
After filling out the membership form, you will be taken to a page where you need to indicate your choice of membership.
If you are only joining us as a national member (all NACUSA members are required to join National):
$20 for general membership
$15 for students or seniors
Additionally, you may join as many chapters as you desire (our chapters offer different opportunities and emphasize a region or certain new music opportunities; most chapter hosted events will require membership with their chapter).
$45 One regular chapter membership
$20 One student or senior chapter membership

Is membership limited to only performers?
No, you may join as a composer, performer, or an enthusiast of composition. Some chapters might be more focused on composers and others, like the Sounds New chapter, focus on opportunities for sound artists, performers or composers of new music. Also, membership has many benefits beyond presenting at a concert event, please consider all opportunities available.
